The boys are really in to Pokemon at the moment, so decided to paint some Pokemon characters.

Resources

  • Poster paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Cotton buds
  • Paper

Method

Finn wanted to do large scale painting and Ioan wanted to do smaller scale pictures. They got themselves set up independently: Ioan inside with some cotton buds and A5 paper, Finn outside with a large roll of paper each for him and Cian on the tuff tray.

Cian loves being involved in his big brothers’ activities. He watched Finn dipping the paint brushes in the paint and making marks on the paper, then joined in.

Ioan drew pictures in pencil, then painted them in with the cotton buds.

Finn painted all of his fingers, so that when he ran out of paint on one, he could just swap to the next.

Ioan carried on with Pikachu, he finds painting really relaxes him. Finn and Cian love messy play, so painting often gets Finn excited and Cian giddy, but they worked peacefully too today.
