Ioan had a vision for his costume, so I just stepped back and let him take the lead. He had so much fun with the whole process, but the first step was to paint his t-shirt orange.

Resources

  • T-shirt
  • Orange paint
  • Rollers
  • Spatulas
  • Paint brushes
  • Bath puff

Method

He set up this tray because he thought I’d want a ‘before’ picture.

Ioan started off with the rollers and printing with the bath puff.

His concentrating face.

He giggled a lot at the rude noises the paint was making as he squirted it out.

Ioan experimented with different tools and techniques.

He smiled and sang as he worked.

Then eventually got stuck in with his hands. His face says it all. He definitely enjoyed the process.

He then left his t-shirt to dry and got started drawing, cutting and sewing the felt.
