Finn doesn’t like scrambled eggs, but when I coloured them green and renamed them, they passed the test!

Resources

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Green food colouring

Method

Ioan already likes ‘scrambled snake’, having been the only one brave enough to taste it last time. So I let him help prepare this for Finn. He whisked the milk, eggs and food colouring together, put the bread in the toaster, then fetched the book and gruffalo whilst I cooked the eggs.

Finn gave it the thumbs up, saying, “Mmm, I like this. Scrambled snake tastes much nicer than scrambled eggs!”

That gave Ioan the giggles.

Cian has been eyeing up food for months and is ready to start solids in a week or two, when he turns 6 months. When I put some ‘scrambled snake’ on his high chair tray to play with, his face went from shock to excitement and his ‘motorbike hands’ started.
