Ioan said he wants to have two jobs when he grows up. His main job will be being a Daddy. As his second job, he plans to write and illustrate children’s books.

Method

‘Litl Mosdu’ (Little Monster) is one of the many ‘lift the flap’ books that Cian has been treated to.

Ioan loves everything about babies, apart from dribble and spit, which cause him mild panic.

He then read ‘Never touch a monster’ to him. Ioan has always said that being able to read stories to his brothers’ was the reason he wanted to learn to read.

This kissing isn’t for show, Ioan is besotted with Cian and he gets treated to this several times a day.

Literacy

ELG 09 – Reading:

Children read and understand simple sentences. They use phonic knowledge to decode regular words and read them aloud accurately. They also read some common irregular words. They demonstrate understanding when talking with others about what they have read.

ELG 10 – Writing:

Children use their phonic knowledge to write words in ways which match their spoken sounds. They also write some irregular common words. They write simple sentences which can be read by themselves and others. Some words are spelt correctly and others are phonetically plausible.
