Ioan decided to have a Jack and the Beanstalk themed P.E. activity, so I challenged him to plan it himself.
Resources
He found some props to remind him of the different instructions he had to call out:
- Goose
- Cow
- Jack
- Giant
- Harp
- Beanstalk
Method
Ioan started of with the golden goose. When he called out “Goose!” they had to pretend to lay a golden egg.
Next up they pretended to be cows. Our youngest calf started off more interested in climbing on the back of the other cows.
Luckily the farmer managed to calm her herd of cows down.
Jack had to climb the beanstalk.
They had to stomp around like the giant.
They were meant to play the magic harp, but Cian just found this funny.
Finally they were meant to grow from a seed to a beanstalk. It was getting closer to lunch and nap time, so Cian was becoming less co-operative!
Ioan was very patient with Cian and after lots of demonstrations, he finally managed to persuade him to curl up tight like a bean, then (one time only!) grow in to a beanstalk.
