Ioan has been desperate to lean how to make different types of paper aeroplanes for a while now, so we were able to use it in our dinosaur theme.

Resources

  • Usborne ‘100 Paper Dragons to fold & fly’ book
  • Ruler

Method

These are really meant to be dragons, but it didn’t take much imagination to turn them into dinosaurs! Ioan was in charge of reading and talking us through the step-by-step instructions.

Finn found it tricky to do precise folding, so I folded loosely and he did the real fold for each step.

After they had built a few different types, we took them out and about to test them outdoors.

Then they ran around making their dinosaurs ‘fly’. Even when running, Finn can’t help make noise. Here he was shouting, “Let’s all play! Try and get us!”
