I let phonics slip last term. Mainly through the exhaustion of the boys starting school and preschool, never mind us having a new baby! This term I plan to up my game, so we will be doing lots of phonics based activities.

Resources

  • Jolly phonics songs on i-pad
  • Alphablocks
  • Feathers
  • Sponge letters
  • Rainbow pebbles
  • Bath letters
  • Whiteboard and Crayola crayons
  • Magnetic sand board
  • Wooden letters (felt-tipped the colours of Alphablocks characters)

Ioan was working on the sound ‘or’. He wrote and made it. Then he pointed to them whilst saying the sound loudly, quietly and in silly voices. We also sang the Jolly Phonics song.
