Method
I left out lots of craft materials, but intentionally didn’t give them any instructions so that they are free to create whatever they like.
I usually prefer not to demonstrate crafts, and avoid suggesting ideas unless they ask for them. That way they can take ownership of their craft projects and it gives them real pride in their work.
I look forward to seeing what they produce this week.

ELG 16 – Exploring and using media and materials:
Children safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.
ELG 17 – Being imaginative:
Children use what they have learnt about media and materials in original ways, thinking about uses and purposes. They represent their own ideas, thoughts and feelings through design and technology, art, music, dance, role-play and stories.
