This was the first craft Ioan chose to do with the spring craft resources was to make puppets out of the lollipop sticks.

Resources

  • Coloured lollipop sticks
  • Spring themed card cut outs

Method

I gave no instructions on to how to combine all the resources on the tray. He decided to glue the green lollipop sticks together to make a star shape and stick petals round the edge to make a flower. He added some green leaves to a green lollipop stick to make the stalk, before sticking the flower at the top.

He spotted a sheep head in amongst the card cut outs so cut out a sheep’s body and tail. He snapped some lollipop sticks in half and coloured them in black to make legs.

The chick was much easier as there were some card cut outs already cut out, so it just needed assembling and attaching to a lollipop stick.

These were the finished lollipop stick puppets, ready for their first puppet show.
